Beginning therapy is a meaningful step, and it’s important that the process feels safe, affirming, and transparent. My goal is for you to feel informed and grounded in what to expect — without pressure or urgency. This page walks you through how to get started and gives you a secure way to reach out when you’re ready.
Step 1: Getting in Touch
You can begin in whichever way feels most comfortable.
Option 1: Schedule a Free Consultation
Use the scheduling button below to book a free 15-minute consultation at a day and time that works for you.
We’ll talk about what brings you here, what you’re hoping for, and whether my approach feels like a good fit for your needs. This is a space to ask questions and get a felt sense of whether working together makes sense.
Option 2: Send a Message
If you’d prefer to reach out with questions before scheduling, you can send a secure message using the button below.
I’ll respond personally within 1–2 business days to help you get the information you need before deciding next steps.
Step 2: Intake & Client Portal
If we decide to move forward after the consultation, you’ll receive a secure link to complete intake forms at your own pace.
You’ll also be invited into the client portal, where you can schedule sessions, manage paperwork, and send messages in one secure place.
Step 3: Our First Session
Sessions are held through a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, so you can meet from the comfort of your own space.
The first session focuses on building connection and understanding — exploring your goals, your history, and what support feels most meaningful right now. There’s no expectation to have everything figured out before we begin.
Step 4: Ongoing Therapy
We’ll meet regularly (typically weekly or biweekly) and work collaboratively toward your goals at a pace that respects your nervous system and capacity.
This work centers on understanding your experiences, reducing shame, and developing ways of living that fit who you are — not forcing yourself into strategies or expectations that don’t.
Common Questions About Getting Started
What if I’m not sure whether therapy is right for me?
That’s completely okay. The consultation is a space to explore what you’re looking for and whether therapy feels supportive at this point in your life. There’s no pressure to decide in advance.
Do I have to commit to ongoing therapy after the consultation?
No. The consultation is a no-obligation conversation to assess fit. You’re free to take your time deciding whether to move forward.
Do I need to prepare anything before the consultation?
No preparation is required. You’re welcome to show up exactly as you are. If it feels helpful, you might reflect on what’s bringing you here and what you’re hoping for — but there’s no expectation to have clear answers.
